* A note about my clothing *
All of my creations are first sewn on a CG ( Commercial Grade ) Singer 550, then serged on an Industrial Wilcox and Gibbs *by Pegasus* 5 thread safety stitch , and or a Wilcox and Gibbs 4 thread Mock Safety stitch for added durability that will keep them dancing for many moons.... All seams and patchwork are also topstitched for extra durability...All fabrics are pre washed***, and pre shrunk...All my appliques are hand cut, heat bonded, straight stitched, and then tightly satin stitched, all satin stitching, and embroidered stitches are done on a Brother CS 6000 ... Pants are all made with professional flat felled seams to ensure longer life from a MaMa whos hard on her pants :)
*** Prewashing - I prewash all farics before use, and again clothing is washed after it has been made to assure durability, All Fabrics and clothing are washed with Mrs. Meyer*s Clean Day Laundry Soap. Which is completely Envorinmentally Friendly, and NOT tested on animals of ay kind...and has the sweetest lavender scent to it as well...
* A Note about my Hemp *
Hemp is such an amazing, durable sustaining fiber , and i love working with it ... you will see more and more hemp items on this site in the months to come ..... Due to the time consuming task of Hand Dyeing it, and my desire to focus on stitchin, i will be getting my dyed fabrics from Altered Statement.com ... Ang and Ian have mastered the art of dyeing.... ** and she has taught me everything i know about this fabric and dyeing it myself..... I will continue to dye my own hempcel... and occasionally other blends as well...but unless stated in the description all but the hempcel will be her fabrics... I will also be selling some of my items using her fabrics on her website as well.... so if your in the market for Your own hand dyed Hemp Fabrics check them out !!!!!
