*** Gramma taught me how to sew .......on her old straight stitch in a cabinet machine ..... they dont make em like that any more :) ....... She started helping me out back when i worked three jobs ....and sold on ebay ...shed often hem up items for me ...or add waistbands and elastic so i could go to work or just REST !!!
She started sewing patchwork together for me next to help me build my festival inventory ....... it gave her something to do that she enjoyed and a few extra $$ in her pocket ..... We bought her a newer machine and got her a serge ... So now she still will during my busy times hem stuff up for me ... Make me some petticoats to keep in stock, bust out crazy patchwork that her or i will turn into one of a kynd creations..... Often we collaborate on projects ....her constructing the basic design of the skirt and i will do the applique work ...... Grammas got lots of love to share...... Shes been taking care of me most of my life.... putting u with me through my mouthy teenage years, then helping me raist my children when i got divorced at a young age , and had to work three jobs to survive.... Shes let me be me...loved me unconditionally for who i am ....and not only supported any decision i ever made, but allowed to me to go off on whatever adventure i felt i needed to at the time to find myself ......... I come from a line of beautiful loving women , with bad ass sewing skills........ im thrilled to have her here on my site a part of the Penni Patch family.... cause without her love, support, and patience teaching me the skills that my mother claims is "in my blood " i wouldnt be ehere with this site making clothing for all of you !!!!!!!!! |
