| I grew up in hand made clothes. My Mom *Gramma* made my clothes from the time I was a baby. She made most of my outfits until I started doing it myself. |

| I started sewing in Jr. High, 7th grade. The 1st thing I made was an apron (I still have it). Then I made a skirt and vest right after that. That's when I realized I enjoyed making clothes. So I made most of my school clothes and wore them with pride. In 9th grade I learned how to crochet. In 12th grade I made my 1st quilt.

When my two beautiful little girls came along, I made a lot of their clothing also. I also crocheted some of their clothes, and alot of their toys. As they grew, they would want me to make a special outfit for them. ***Penni as a teenager Rebelled and hated handmade clothing, but begged for christmas this year for me to make her and her children clothes , im thrilled that those roots were instilled , and as she grew up is going to pass that onto my grandchildren ..... ** Below Is her Madison in the dress i made her for Christmas. |
| When the time came that I needed to find a job, I ended up in a sewing factory. After being there for 6 months, there was a commercial serge sewing machine for sale and of course I bought it. With this machine I made 3 sets of bride maids gowns for my daughter and her friends out of satin and lace. Also alot of other things.
After the sewing factory closed, I ended up in a window manufacturing plant. I didn't have as much time to sew. So when Penni started sewing, I gave her the serge. And slowly she has pulled me back into sewing. Now that I am looking for another job, from the closing of the window plant, I am doing more and more sewing for my lovely daughter. |
